A career in estate agency can be exciting and rewarding, both personally and financially. Qualities which will most help to advance your career are integrity, good communication skills (which means you understand what people tell you and they understand what you tell them!), the ability to work under pressure but remain positive in your outlook and, above all, enjoying contact with the public, both face-to-face and over the telephone. Our experience shows that those who do really well are self-motivated and prepared to give their full commitment to building their career - which is definitely not 9 to 5, Monday to Friday!

You need to be well presented, and of a friendly and approachable disposition. You do not need formal qualifications although most employers, including ourselves, would expect you to have GCSE passes in Mathematics and English.

DB Roberts Property Centres are looking for driven and dynamic individuals to join our team of Sales Negotiators for our busy offices in the Shropshire, Staffordshire, and West Midlands areas.

We are looking for confident, professional and service focused individuals who are enthusiastic and willing to learn, as no experience is necessary. You will be required to deal with enquiries regarding property purchasing and selling, ensuring you understand the needs of the clients in order to match them to their perfect property.

The position will include booking viewings, providing feedback to vendors, arranging valuations, and negotiating offers between vendors and purchasers.

You will need to have the ability to maximise all opportunities whilst providing a high level of customer service. Recommending our conveyancing and mortgage services to prospective buyers and sellers, providing a one-stop service for all property related matters to assist our clients in what can be a stressful time.

Driving licence and use of own vehicle is an advantage.

DB Roberts Mortgage Services Department are recruiting for a Customer Service Agent. The role is based at our Head Office in Shrewsbury.

As a Customer Service Agent you will be required to deliver excellent customer service to our clients who are in the process of applying for a mortgage product. You will be their point of contact to help them along the journey from beginning to end, providing them with updates on both the financial and legal side of the process.

The position involves;

  • Checking documentation and processing new mortgage applications
  • Answering incoming telephone calls
  • Organising workflow to meet customer timeframes
  • Maintaining customer databases
  • Progressing the mortgage offer to a successful completion of a property purchase or remortgage
  • Updating customers on the progress of their application by liaising with solicitors, estate agents and lenders.
  • Obtaining all relevant information to handle product and service enquiries
  • Produce and submit paperwork to clients on completion
  • Make post completion customer satisfaction calls

No experience is required for this role but a background in financial services would be an advantage. You must have a fantastic telephone manner, be able to show an understanding and empathy for what can be a stressful time and a willingness to help them every step of the way, full training will be provided.
