  • Our telephones and enquiry emails are received and handled by our own in-house staff between 8am and 8pm weekdays, 9am to 4pm Saturdays and 10am to 4pm Sundays – enabling us to book viewing appointments when most agents are closed

DB Roberts Professional Services ltd., Chartered Surveyors, provide an efficient residential and valuation service throughout the region covered by our regional network of eight branch offices. For over 50 years, we have provided valuation services to most major high street lenders and continue to do so. Our team of Chartered Valuation Surveyors have an unrivalled knowledge of most property construction types, including unusual and non-traditional, and also of local factors such as historic coal and limestone mining. This, combined with up to the minute knowledge of the local property market, plus an extensive database of past valuations supplemented by actual property sale transactions achieved through the DB Roberts regional branch network, ensures that all clients can have confidence in our surveyors.

DB Roberts has expertise in rental valuations and marketing, in addition to which our dedicated Property Management Department manages several hundred residential properties for both private and corporate landlords.

As leading estate agents throughout the region which we serve, we can offer expertise in both letting and managing residential property while our status as Chartered Surveyors, Regulated by RICS, ensures that all client funds are always separately managed and completely secure.

Residential Property Management is handled by a dedicated Department within DB Roberts and our service features:

  • Using only approved contractors for all repair and maintenance work. All contractors have appropriate insurances etc. in place
  • A 24 hour emergency repair helpline for tenants
  • Rental payments and security deposits are received directly into a ring-fenced Client Account, from which repair bills, fees and net rental are directly paid
  • Regulated by RICS, our Client Account is subject to independent audit by RICS and DB Roberts has Client Money Protection in place; we also have £2 million of Professional Indemnity insurance
  • Accounting is handled on Sage and all payments are made electronically direct to the Landlord’s bank account
  • As with all Landlords, LPA receivers are provided with a monthly statement of receipts and disbursements – sent by email to your nominated address
  • Security deposits are dealt with in accordance with Tenancy Deposit Scheme requirements
  • Ongoing Schedules of property Condition are recorded on video by our own Property Inspector, which results in minimal deposit disputes on vacation
  • We are Members of RICS and two Directors are Members of ARLA.

Our Chartered Valuation Surveyors, working together with our network of 8 regional branches, have unrivalled knowledge of local property values backed up by an extensive database of actual property transactions. We are therefore able to provide honest, accurate and therefore reliable, written valuations for specific purposes including matrimonial, probate and taxation. Instructions are accepted directly from private clients or on their behalf from solicitors and accountants. We recognise that formal valuations of this nature may need to be supported in future negotiations; our systems and records enable us to provide such justification when required.
