Why rent a managed property?
We manage most of the properties we let, which makes life much easier for you as a tenant should you experience a problem - like a broken heating system or a security issue. One of our property team will liaise with the landlords as soon as we know the problem, and seek their approval for the work to be carried out. Our maintenance department use only selected vetted contractors and we also have a 24 hour call-out service for emergencies. We also kelp you to discuss extending your tenancy or with returning your security deposit when you move out.
What's a guarantor?
Guarantor is a legal term for someone who is prepared to guarantee that you will pay the rent and comply with all the terms of the tenancy agreement. For instance, if you fail to pay the rent, or if you damage the property, the guarantor can be made to take your place and pay what is owed to the landlord. For this reason, your chosen guarantor will also be credit checked, for which a fee is payable. Most tenants ask a close relative to act as guarantor.

Applying for one of our properties
Simply download our tenant application form and complete it, then take it in to your nearest DB Roberts branch or email it to us. An application fee is payable and you can pay by debit or credit (3% service charge) card over the telephone.
Seen a property you like?
Our lettings team will first discuss your application with the landlord and then carry out a credit reference. Depending upon your income and other factors, you may be asked to provide a guarantor. If everything is satisfactory, we will ask the landlord for their instructions and if they agree to accept you as their tenant, we will take you through the straightforward legal process.
