The value of anything ultimately depends upon the price which someone is prepared to pay; cars, holidays, works of art – and property; all are subject to this basic rule. If you are contemplating selling or renting your property, then without a reliable appraisal of its value by an experienced agent, your prospects of achieving the right result are immeasurably worse.

Unfortunately, there are some agents who habitually over-value property; because, sadly, it’s a great way of gaining instructions. But it’s not great for getting results.

As you might expect, our approach at DB Roberts is rather different. We know our local markets very well – probably better than anyone because we generally sell more homes in our locality than any of our competitors. So we base our advice on our experience of prices and rents realised – rather than hoped for.

We will share information with you and, together, reach agreement on a realistic figure. Of course, it is up to you at what price your property is marketed although, ultimately, it will be worth what someone pays.
