House Building Figures Highest Since 2008

The government has released news that the number of new build homes being built has risen to the highest level since 2008.
Data released by the Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG) shows that in the year to June 2017, new homes started were up 13% on the previous year. More than 153,000 new homes have been completed during the same period, an increase of 11% compared to last year.
Housing minister, Alok Sharma said: “Building more homes is an absolute priority for this government. The figures are proof that we are getting Britain building again, with new housing starts reaching record levels since 2009."
