The crown jewel of Telford’s summer schedule is back for the August Bank Holiday weekend. The skies will fill with dozens of spectacular hot air balloons, accompanied by live music, food stalls, and kids' activities.
Insider Tip: Do not miss the famous Night Glow on Friday evening, where the balloons light up in time to music as darkness falls. Arrive early to secure a good spot on the grass!
When: Mid September 2026 (An ideal way to wrap up the summer season)
Where? Ironbridge Gorge
Celebrate our local history at the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. This week-long festival brings the Gorge to life with a brilliant mix of walks, talks, historical re-enactments, and a massive heritage street market. It's a fantastic celebration of culture, art, and music that showcases why our corner of Shropshire is recognised globally.
Insider Tip: Park at the Mile End car park and use the park-and-ride service, as the historic narrow streets of the Gorge get incredibly busy during festival weekend!
As local estate agents, we’re always championing how much our borough has to offer, and this summer proves it. You don't need to look towards the big cities for entertainment when our own parks and historic landmarks are putting on such a spectacular lineup for 2026. It truly is a fantastic place to call home.
