Referral Fees

The latest guidance from the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 requires the Estate Agency sector to address the issue of transparency of fees. We refer our clients to carefully selected companies because we believe you may benefit from using their services. You are not under any obligation to use the services of any of the recommended providers, though if you accept our recommendation the provider is expected to pay us a referral fee.

From the following providers we may receive a referral fee per transaction as indicated:

Conveyancing

Simply Conveyancing - £250

 

Financial Services

From the following providers we may receive variable payments; the average amount per referral over the last 12 months is as indicated:

Mortgage Advice Bureau - £157 

 

Buyer Fees

Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Checks

We are required by law to conduct anti-money laundering checks on all those buying a property. DB Roberts retain responsibility for ensuring checks and any ongoing monitoring are carried out correctly. The initial checks are performed using Movebutler. The cost of these checks is £20 Plus VAT (£24) for the first buyer and £10 Plus VAT (£12) for every additional buyer. This fee covers the cost of obtaining relevant data and any manual checks or monitoring which might be required. This fee will need to be paid by you in advance, ahead of us issuing a memorandum of sale and is non-refundable.

 

Lettings Fees

Set Up Fee: 

Managed: £400 +VAT

Rent collection only: £400 +VAT

Let only: Set up fee equal to first month's rent +VAT

 

Monthly Fee:

Managed: 12% +VAT of the monthly rental amount

Rent collection only: 8% +VAT of the monthly rental amount (No Inspections or Maintenance)

 

House of Multiple Occupation - Fees

Set Up Fee (Management Take Over):

£200 +VAT

New Tenancy Set Up Fee:

£100 +VAT

Monthly Management Fee:

10% +VAT of the monthly rental amount
